Having trained initially is in drama and dance, and then studied improvisation, mime and physical theatre, at the Jacques Lecoq School in Paris, Danya is a natural, physical storyteller, with the ability to instinctively put people, young and old, at their ease and to draw them into her imaginary and fantasy world.
Danya works nationally as a performer, storyteller and workshop leader. She leads Inset and CPD session in schools and works with theatres in their educational departments. Danya works with stories, drama, songs, rhymes, riddles, games and dance cross-curriculum and as a healing and restorative practice.
Nowadays we live our lives at such a fast pace that sometimes we need permission to take a break. Storytelling gives us that opportunity. It can provide a bridge to our inner stillness and enable us to slow down and take a breath, a life giving breath, whilst allowing us to make new connections and insights.
